Banana Island
We designed all hard interior finishes for this new luxury residence to reflect a contemporary, refined aesthetic, while ARRCC worked on the soft furnishing. Guided by the client’s vision, a light-toned palette enhances the sense of space, bringing the home a serene yet luxurious atmosphere.
Located within Lagos’s prestigious Banana Island enclave, this development comprises a penthouse and maisonette designed as distinct residences that share landscaped gardens and a private clubhouse. Across both, the interiors are defined by balance and restraint – a timeless foundation of pale stone, oak veneer and subtly veined marble accented by brushed metal details. Large-format Marmi Maximum tiles, acoustic timber panelling and bespoke duco-sprayed joinery create visual continuity, while soft neutral walls and natural textures reflect light throughout. Expansive glazing connects the interiors to private terraces and the shared pool area, framing views of greenery and water to heighten the sense of calm.
The maisonette’s design emphasises both privacy and connection, with a direct link to the garden, swimming pool and clubhouse, while the penthouse offers elevated views and generous entertaining spaces. Each level reveals moments of quiet luxury – from a double-volume lounge and chef’s kitchen to a cinema room, bar and intimate private lounges. The master suites feature dual walk-in wardrobes and refined en-suite bathrooms finished in travertine and Calacatta stone. Together, these spaces express Peerutin Karol’s approach to contemporary interior design in Lagos – understated, meticulously detailed and seamlessly integrated with the architecture.
