An existing ‘Deco’ classic in Oranjezicht in need of repair, was extensively remodeled to cater to a sophisticated home buyer, in the investor market, in this prime residential area.
New parking, fully re-worked floor plans to create two brand new additional units, as well as security features throughout, are some of the upgrades that were carried out.
While the original building provided the inspiration, the aesthetic was re-imagined to reflect a fresh, contemporary character. Using references from surrounding buildings, materials such as plaster, face brick, steel and glass were used to create the new facades.
The result is a building that occupies its location modestly, while firmly establishing itself as a stylish, contemporary addition to the neighbourhood.
